Returning to the South and spending time at Kefi Estate Vineyards & Winery has been a deeply personal journey. The sound of cicadas at night, the thick summer air, and the scent of peach cobbler bring me home, but it’s the grapes that have transformed me.
I’ve developed a newfound reverence for winemaking; not just the craft, but the grapes themselves. There’s something spiritual about them. They nourish us, heal us, and then transform into something entirely new. Their resilience and vitality mirror our own. Being among them brings me peace and a sense of connection that feels both grounding and ancient.
Kefi is the only winery in the U.S. cultivating two rare and beautiful Greek white grape varietals: Moschofilero and Assyrtiko. These grapes are more than agricultural choices—they’re symbols of ancestry and tradition. Their elegance, distinction, and depth mirror the experience of Kefi itself.
My family, like many, has faced challenges. But we’ve built this place together, and I’m proud of what it’s become, especially of my mom, whose vision brought Kefi to life. What began as a dream is now something tangible we can hold, sip, and share. A living tribute to our Greek roots, nestled in Monroe, NC.
As we continue to grow, our focus is expanding beyond wine into hosting life’s meaningful moments; weddings, showers, birthdays, photo shoots. Because what we offer is more than a product, it’s a feeling.
Kefi is about connection. To nature. To self. To heritage. To each other. That’s the spirit of this place.
Whether you’re planning a celebration or simply seeking stillness by the pond with a glass of wine, we invite you to experience what Kefi truly offers: home, joy, healing, and connection.
Stay tuned for more reflections, stories from the vineyard, and behind-the-scenes glimpses into life at Kefi – this is just the beginning.
